I traded my military and a law enforcement careers to raise OUR children. Some traded their children to party and waste their life. I know I got the better deal. It takes more than just posing for pictures to be a parent. Moms are the ones that know the smallest, but very important, information about their kids. Sometimes dads dont even know (sorry dads) Like the different way each kid likes to eat their biscuits, or hotdogs or even the order they get ready for school in the morning. I know these sound trivial but if youve ever put the wrong topping on a hotdog or hamburger, you know what Im talking about. Its almost the end of the world to them. So heres to all the step-parents out there, especially the ones that have proudly raised their step-children and have long forgotten about the step part of that word, dont let anyone make you feel like you were an insignificant part of your kids life. I guarantee you, your kid doesnt feel that way. Especially when they forget a badly needed item for school at home, and you are the one leaving work, treking 20 mins home then 20 mins back just to get the tennis shoes needed for athletics. (Just teasing) This is just a vent, so no need for comments unless you need to vent too!
