I travelled down to Macksville solo yesterday to pay my respects to Phillip Hughes at his funeral, both as a personal gesture and as a representative of Warehouse Cricket. I wore my Warehouse Cricket shirt when I watched the service take place and wore it throughout the procession and well into the late afternoon, which gave locals the opportunity to ask where I was from. It was a truly beautiful service and I was humbled to be there. I found Megan Hughes quotes incredibly moving, one which said I promise I will never take anything for granted from this day forward and take any opportunity that comes my way, a sisters promise to her brother that is something that we can all live by. I had the opportunity to talk to Greg & Megan Hughes at the wake, extending my deepest condolences, which you can imagine that they very much appreciated.
