I travelled down to Macksville solo yesterday to pay my respects - TopicsExpress

I travelled down to Macksville solo yesterday to pay my respects to Phillip Hughes at his funeral, both as a personal gesture and as a representative of Warehouse Cricket. I wore my Warehouse Cricket shirt when I watched the service take place and wore it throughout the procession and well into the late afternoon, which gave locals the opportunity to ask where I was from. It was a truly beautiful service and I was humbled to be there. I found Megan Hughes quotes incredibly moving, one which said I promise I will never take anything for granted from this day forward and take any opportunity that comes my way, a sisters promise to her brother that is something that we can all live by. I had the opportunity to talk to Greg & Megan Hughes at the wake, extending my deepest condolences, which you can imagine that they very much appreciated. The first photo below is of the procession and the second is myself with Michael Clarke and Megan Hughes at the wake, a celebration of Phils life. My day in the small town of Macksville is something I will cherish and never forget. Rest In Peace Phillip Joel Hughes. - Angeline Lowther, Communications Officer for Warehouse Cricket
