I tried out the Numatic Henry hoover deemed for our office at home. I can see why a lot of people rave about them, and why professionals use them. Heres the rundown: + Amazingly quiet. We could have a normal conversation while hoovering. I didnt try, but I could probably listen to music from the stereos while hoovering. The cats still dont appreciate it, though, but they seemed a bit less worried about it. + Industrial strength. Simple, solid, rugged build (and still built in the UK). Parts easily available, and selected for durability (e.g. winding the cord in, versus a spring system). The whole hoover can be built from parts if needed. Even a small PCB diagram was printed in the manual. + The bag can suck up 9 litres of crap... + ... and three extras were included in the package + Power cord so long I could go all the way to the porch from the same socket, and still had some to spare. + Hose was light, long and bendy, making it much easier to reach tough spots. + Wheels were big and solid. Could move easily and didnt scratch. + Pretty good size and shape for storage, considering the capacity - No telescope pipe (available as after market part) - Pipe connecting system lacks the nice clicking system of the Dyson. Bits could come off if not pushed in right. - Floor/carpet switch was very stiff, but that might loosen up with time - Suction reducer is pretty awkward to use (its a very simple, rugged design, though) - The long bendy hose does mean its a bit more awkward to move the Henry in tight places - Need to use bags Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you have a bigger house. Hoovering the office will be just a bit less of a chore with this boy (bought from German Amazon because they have Euro plug, and because they still offer the pre-EU legislation version with high power switch). The face can be removed if you want :-) amazon.de/dp/B000PBYGQ8/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1414835100&sr=1&keywords=numatic+henry
