I tried something new today...gnudi (a dumpling, in this case made with ricotta, grana padano, egg, salt/pepper, a little flour. A lot like gnocchi, no potato) with a simple pomodoro sauce (pureed tomato, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar). The gnudi didnt set up well and dissolved into the sauce, so I improvised and served over some linguine. I think they were just too wet. I had added extra flour, but this was a first, so I didnt want to add too much. In any case, it was a subtly rich sauce and tasted good, even if it wasnt in the exact form it should have been.
