I truly believe elderly citizens should have some sort of sensible advice when it comes to putting pen to paper; otherwise someone who has been (professionally speaking) brilliant could end up embarrassing himself like Ferguson. The amount of stupidity expressed on his book only reflects the nonsense and childish thoughts and feelings of someone who is clearly entering a stage in life where the mind back fires by taking you back to your early days. Sad very sad ! a bit embarrassing as well with comments like Steven Gerrard not being a top player, nothing more difficult in every aspect in life and in any career than being able to maintain yourself at the same level for many years. I have seen many players had one or two great seasons and absolutely disappear. Gerrard has managed all threw his 15 year career to preserve his amazing fitness, his playing style and is still today a great captain and leader for Liverpool as well as for England. It is an absolute pleasure to see him still today at age 33, run his heart out, pass the ball 40 yards with his unique accuracy, score goals and have him not miss a single game in the last year and a half. Last week he reached his 100 premier league goal, this guy has been threw 450 games with his club and has left his heart on every single one. This man has won the most epic Champions League in history, coming back from a 0-3 defeat in half time against one of the best AC Milan teams ever, a fantastic lesson of never giving up. True leader on and off the pitch, always leading by example a real icon for Liverpool, a great world ambassador for English Football, leading the nation to another World Cup next summer. You can hate the game, but you cant hate the player. There are certain players which to my understanding are above any club rivalry and Stevie is clearly one of them, by this I mean it doesnt matter who you support, you can not just deny the man, denying Gerrard is almost as silly as denying the Beatles, I have always been more of a Rolling Stones fan but I am not stupid enough to deny the Beatles. I believe England will not win another World Cup until they manage to leave a side all their bitter club/city rivalry and come together and support their own people. As a foreign (Uruguayan) living in this country, It has always caught my attention how someone could be a United, Chelsea or Liverpool fan above your own country but even more, It is very funny to me how English people love foreign talent like: Maradona, Pele, or this days maybe Aguero or Suarez or they talk about Zidane or Platini while they are so blinded by hate they can not even look inside and see what they have here. When I was growing up in South America I had no Maradona on my wall, I had Steven Gerrard the most complete footballer of all times !!! youtube/watch?v=r-f-kbVOMFw
