I truly believe that Spirituality, experienced as personal and universal Truth, is deepened only by applying it in ones life through application, practice and and the resultant experience, what we take and learn from it. It is not something that can be spoon-fed to you through churcheology, books, tapes, workshops. Even Jesus said to his disciples, you must take my teachings and go into the world... this was meant not just to teach dogma and rhetoric but by going into the world, they had to Live what he taught, and so must we. (You will find that this is taught in every major teaching of the world: Christianity, Hebrew, Islam, The Tao, Confucianism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Native American Spirituality... ) Gnosis is said to be closer to the Teachings of Jesus then that interpreted today and some sources, that it is influenced by the major religions of the world of those times. Historically, that area of the world was considered the Center of the Universe, everything in the world came and went from the Middle East, leaving its impact and legacy on what we have today in religion, the sciences, medicine and the arts. This is a good place to start if you are a seeker, not satisfied with following any one teaching but seeking something more encompassing and compassionate.
