I truly believe this is the end of an era in Detroit baseball. - TopicsExpress

I truly believe this is the end of an era in Detroit baseball. After seeing the effort put forth today by this ball club, the bullpen woes, questionable managerial decisions throughout the season, and the fact Kansas City and Cleveland are on the upswing, the Tigers and the playoffs might not go hand in hand next season. Max Scherzer is likely gone, same with Victor Martinez. JV is on the books for $27MM and is not the same pitcher he was in past years, Rick Porcello is hot and cold, mostly cold; David Price is good through next season on contract; but mostly the team aside from Miggy, JD, Kinsler, and Torii Hunter is a bunch of scrubs who wouldnt make it on most ML squads. When the Tigers went on that 9-20 stretch earlier in the season, I couldnt think of another team that produced such a run and won the World Series. Good team, not great. Not good enough. Always a Tigers fan, but a realist too. :)
