I truly cant believe what I discovered today. As most of you know I had been waiting for over 3and half years for operation on trapped nerves in my eye and forehead. The op was due last March,and no word,only to find out that the hospital(St Francis Private in Mullingar) was in receivership .Finally I got app for Plastic Surgeon in Galway.I duly met the Specialist and he decided that he wouldnt operate as it was in a precarious place.He decided that I should attend The Pain Management Clinic which gave me some hope.So I duly awaited this letter of appointment. Nothing happening so I telephone,. Firstly there is a Backlog in Typing,no letter sent to the Pain clinic..THEN I TALK TO SECRETARY AT PAIN MANAGEMENT TO BE TOLD THAT THERE IS A WAITING LIST OF OVER 3YRS YES 3YRS.I can only tell you that I was shocked beyond belief.What do I do?? I need to pull my self together and muster up my strength and my brain and fight this battle all over again. Meanwhile my doc changed my meds again,trying to keep me sane.I hate ranting on but this is So Upsetting. Someones head should roll.I pity all the other people in similar situations.I think a prayer wouldnt go astray xx
