I truly feel very blessed in what I do. Sometimes after a few - TopicsExpress

I truly feel very blessed in what I do. Sometimes after a few sessions of private yoga, massages, reiki and treatments back to back, like today, I need to recharge intermittently. I usually make my way onto my mat and restore. This type of restoration requires me to fall into gentle, nurturing and opening poses. Like the one below. Followed by a (sometimes brief) meditation that serves and honours what I need right at that moment. This rest stop needs to be simple, soft and very yin and is set aside from the ritual of my daily mat practice. It is vital to that I do this. This pose is great for anyone who has been sitting at the computer all day, holding and breastfeeding a baby all day, massaging all day, the list goes on really, because it is for anybody who is feeling tension in their back and upper body, is feeling heartache, or just needs a rest. It is just a divine place to BE. You can lay the block flat along the spine with legs straight (in pic), arms out to side and palms up. Or if you feel the heart or upper thoracic needs a little extra, then turn the block on its side and have the knees bent and feet on the floor. Only turn the block on its side if your head rests on the floor. This variation is in the pic with hands in prayer, thumbs at ajna chakra or you can arms out to the side, palms up). Breathe into the heart. Soften and honour all parts of yourself. Let arise whatever arises. Bring it into your awareness, observe and then watch it move away. Unravel, unwind, spread and regroup. Then remove the block, let yourself spread flat across your mat, spend some time breathing and letting go. Maybe some meditating while you are reclining in Savasana. Honour you. Love, Rach 💖 xx
