I truly hope everyone had a great Fourth of July, any which way you decided to spend it! From a locals point of view (yes I grew up here too), I could definitely see a boost in attendance this year, and it was great to see so many come back to town to celebrate. The Rodeo turned out better than we could have expected. Surely, we took notes of things that need improving, and we will promptly make accommodations and adjustments to make next years show an absolute blow out! I think it is important to realize that Diamond Productions is not a large corporation. Honestly, it consists of a small handful of folks that literally worked around the clock on this event in particular. Every ounce of work done on the rodeo arena at the park was volunteer, which shows the character of this town. In the coming weeks, Diamond Productions will have dispersed the money raised at this event to the local community groups as promised (The Trinity County Fair, Trinity FFA, Trinity Alps 4-H, and Grass Valley 4-H). We worked very hard to make this a community effort and I truly believe it paid off. I have never seen the stores, restaurants, gas stations etc so busy. Thank you again for the support.
