I truly want to thank everyone who helped with Boots. Whether u cross posted or offered to foster/adopt or transport him...whatever. It was great to see so many people come together for a good cause. I know a lot of people wanted to foster or adopt him. But he is ONE dog. And he can only go to ONE family. While I understand this may have left people feeling disappointed that they werent the family chosen, please understand that, again, he is ONE dog. Every family feels like they should be the one chosen. But it cant be like that. This emotionally charged scenario does not need any more drama to it then it already has created. I ask that everyone focus on the REAL issue - that Boots is safe and will be in a family that will take amazing care of him. Thats what this is about. Its nothing personal. And the truth is there are a million other Boots out there. I beg u to please consider this. I also ask that u realize just how many emails, texts, phone calls, and FB messages I receive EVERY day from people and shelters begging me to take their dogs. It is constant. It is never ending. And everyone demands my attention. Immediately. Regardless if I have it to give. I rely heavily on my volunteers, supporters, and donators to help me do this - because without them, nothing would get accomplished. So in ur disappointment, or even anger, I am asking for ur understanding and compassion. I will update everyone once Boots is in his new home :)
