I try not to delve too deeply into the anti-Obama hysteria and partisan conspiracy theories (check my timeline for the last 6 years if you doubt me), but the heroic return of the soldier from Afghanistan is starting to sound like a ripoff of the show Homeland. Lets review: 1) He allegedly deserted and walked off the base voluntarily, 2) men were reportedly killed trying to rescue him in the wake of his disappearance, 3) he betrayed his country (and military law) on video while pleading for his own release, 4) his dad is an Islamist terrorist sympathizer who tweeted for the release of all Gitmo prisoners and for God to punish the killers of Afghani babies, 5) and the Presidents people negotiated with terrorists to free five high level militant leaders detained in Guantanamo to bring him home 6) without notifying Congress as required by law, because after five years, it was an emergency and there wasnt enough time. Fascinating.
