I try not to pay much attention to all of the government issues right now since I am already sick it just makes me sicker! But this insurance thing is really irritating me...I dont want or expect the government to provide or pay for my insurance coverage...I just want affordable insurance coverage. As a person who works full time but doesnt make a whole lot of money literally one and a half pay checks would go to paying insurance premiums if I were to get coverage on my own. I do not understand what the insurance company would do with my $800-$1000 a month! And why the hell does it cost $13,000 dollars for a surgery that takes less than 45 minutes...and that does not include the doctors fees or the anatheseologist or lab work or supplies etc...it seems like the logical answer to this problem is for big money to be eliminated! Our medical expenses in this country are ridiculous! Does it really cost $13,000 for the cold hard table you lie on and the laser they use to remove the organ? I also know the hospital only receives maybe 60% of that charge from an insurance company and the remainder is written off due to the fact that the hospital has an agreed upon rate with the insurance company for that certain proceedure...so why as a cash paying patient do I pay 100%...doesnt make much sense if I had that kind of money laying around I could afford health insurance!!! My rant for the night!!!:) Thankfully my problem of having no health insurance coverage will be solved because I will be on Dymes insurance starting next month...but they wont pay for a pre existing condition....and it doesnt solve the problem for so many more Americans who are stuck with no medical coverage! My doctor literally told me because I am a working white person I have little to no hope of getting coverage through the government! Nice to know illegals are getting the best medical coverage my tax dollars can buy!!!
