I try to keep the cute things that my kids do posts to a minimum as, really, who wants to hear that stuff all the time? I do have to share the following moment, though. Carie and Carter and I were just finishing up a show on the couch in the sunroom and Avery was sitting on our bed in the next room, quietly watching Elmo (aka the helium-voiced AntiChrist). Carie commented that Averys toes are really cute and that she could see them poking up from where she was sitting. I stated that I had to go eat them. I went into the bedroom and Avery started to wiggle away and be pissy, which is what he does when you disturb his concentration while he watches Elmo, Caillou or any of that stuff. Instead of fighting him, I calmly hold up his foot to him and say, in a very straightforward manner: No. I came in here to discuss this. We were just saying how cute these are and now I have to eat them. So, I gobble up his baby toes. And he giggles and holds up his other foot so I can gobble those up, too. And then he laughs and looks up at me and says You funny. Which hes never said before. And I thought it was neat. So I am sharing it. Screw you if you dont think that is some cute shit right there. Happy Thanksgiving.
