I try to listen to all sides of the issues. I think it is good, - TopicsExpress

I try to listen to all sides of the issues. I think it is good, pretty much all the time, to be a skeptic. I have found that the vast majority of the pro-reform facts are direct quotes from a single source: excelined . org (Jeb Bushs Foundation for Excellence). I believe, instead, people should be looking to actual education research, or, at least, searching out independent confirmation of its claims. Funny, the Common Core proponents are constantly talking about the importance of critical thinking, but when you apply such thinking to their arguments for Common Core, their arguments fall apart. Here is a great article that points out the nonsense behind many of the pro-Common Core claims: huffingtonpost/jason-endacott/beware-of-vague-ccss-poli_b_6268436.html
