I try to shy away from novel-length statuses but kinda difficult to avoid due to my chicken counting > chicken hatching mode. The house that we were moving into--yes, the infamous Room Under The Stairs house--did not pass inspection, and when we had to pull our offer a week before we were to move out of our current home today.....well.....we were grippin. Big time. Major bummage. And all of our belongings are going into storage for a month now because of it, we are floating like nomads for a month, so its gonna be, to quote the movie Up: Adventure is out there! But heres the good news. We then three days ago found an absolutely incredible house in every way: location, size, price, bells/whistles, pool, yard, kitchen, size of rooms, the works. We straight up lucked out. God was looking out for us. And its a better house, will be a better home. I cannot thank the following people enough: Chris and Alicia Demarest for their relentless professionalism, optimism and brilliant perspective. Best in the biz. Little Guys Movers, specifically Sam, Ethan, Forrest and Jake. They moved us from 8:30am to 5pm in 90 degree heat with courtesy, precision and speed. You cant find better than them. Ryann at First Federal for slaving on our loan, changing mid stream, and redefining bankers hours. John David Lindsey for being diligent, on point and a great friend. Deek for enduring me the past few weeks of drama, my son Jack for being way more mature and understanding than a 12 year old should be, my dad for helping us all this weekend, and Judy for being the best PIC ever. Pics of the new Villa when we are in. And its successfully inspected this time.
