I turn 22 a week from today which marks around two years since I started to get sick and I have been thinking a lot about how many people I have unintentionally lost due to being bedridden but the incredible amount of people I have gained due to compassionate, flexible, understanding human life. If you have stuck around or come into my life in the past two years I cant thank you enough. I am happily in remission now and while still requiring pills that are too big to swallow and regular infusions and treatments I have spent the past year throwing myself into a music project and the past almost half a year playing those songs I wrote when I was so helpless for people live. I have gotten to travel, I moved back across the country, I wrote more songs than I knew I had in me, I met an amazing and unending community of artists and musicians, I have been presented opportunities I had only ever seen in dreams. I have spent a lot of time in hospital beds and in my bed and alone and scared but I dont think I would have survived without all of you so thanks for being beautiful and supportive beams of light when everything looked very dark and impossible. To anyone who kicked me while I was down: fight me, Im out of bed now :~*
