I turned 29 today..Im grateful for life and everything beautiful there is..I had a fairly plain day until an hour ago on my way home.I sat next to a young man holding a dish and staff in a plastic bag..So I asked him what he was selling and he said He was selling nuts (not my favorite) but my heart went to the passion he had in his voice when he was speaking about his trade..On a birthday like this when nothing eventful happens, I was humbled to be in the presence of a young man who has immeasurable hope and dedication to bring transformation to his life.. So maybe next time you decide to buy nuts in Harare , choose not to see a vendor but see Blessing for who he is - a resilient being with the same dreams of changing the world as those of the privileged, see him for his determination which can see him become anything he wants to be , beyond basic change ,see him for his shy smile short of humility but powerful to remind the world that humanity has a future, see him for his graceful speech which reminds you that respect will always be fashionable, see him for his quest for integrity and drive to earn an honest living, see him as a service provider who goes through any other business transaction,trade, logistics to bring you nuts, ( CEOs go through them to sell whatever they sell).....see him for his influence - I just got influenced for inspiration!!..I think this is my best birthday ever...
