I understand, perhaps better than most, how important it is to raise funds for political parties but the language used is getting stupid. I dont know exactly whos been selling my e-mail address to all parties and now Im getting several desperate pleas daily. For the record, Ive been through nothing with this party, Ive never stepped up and I remain completely unserved by this former interim leader. Weve been through a lot together – and every time weve needed to grow, organize, or respond, youve stepped up. Were facing a critical fundraising deadline in just 48 hours. Success in next year’s election depends on what we do on days like today. Can you step up and donate $5 or more by midnight tomorrow? That’s as little as $1.25 after tax credits. Grassroots campaigns are built from the ground up, not the other way around. When I served as your interim leader, I travelled across the country meeting supporters. I saw firsthand the important work you do. But this campaign is going to take more resources and more people getting involved than ever before. What we raise before midnight tomorrow will determine our entire budget to do that work for the next three months.
