I understand that Congressional representatives are expected to serve the more specific interests of their states and districts, but just where do they draw the line? What purpose, cause, or interest is served when, in the name of keeping the Federal government operating, pork is added to the Omnibus Spending Bill? What family values and veterans cause is served when $435 Billion is allocated for jets that dont fly and that the Pentagon didnt even asked for, while WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and Veteran benefits are cut? How is Main Street served by gutting an admittedly imperfect Dodd-Frank bill, allowing those Too Big To Fail banks, now even bigger, to get comfortably back into their Ponzi-style derivative game and again guaranteeing profits for their stockholders and giving all the risk to the taxpayers?
