I understand that music evolves and changes over time but what is this so called West Coast Hip Hop now days? We used to have producer Dr. Dre running things with rappers such as Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem. Today the producer DJ Mustard is practically running Hip Hop with beats that all sound so close to the same (example: Paranoid by Ty Dolla $ign, Loyal by Chris Brown, Show Me and Main Chick by Kid Ink) Dont get me wrong, I liked those songs but I dont understand how he is good enough to be making this big of a movement on rap music. He refers to his style of music as ratchet music and that style is influencing all of rap. I dont want ratchet, I want GANGSTER.
