I understand that racism still exists. I get it. Its a terrible thing. But just remember the road goes both ways and I know this from personal experience. Being beat up, called names, people telling me I was ugly because I was white, all these things happened when I grew up in a predominantly back community and their hurtful words and actions still affect me to this day. If it werent for my best friend there Jasmine Id probably have gone through a lot worse. I was and still am so glad to have her as a friend. Even though I went through this experience I dont see things as white vs. black because I know it happens on both sides of the fence. People need to stop hating each other and being so distrusting of others because they are different. By all means, if someone is a douchebag, theyre a douchebag, but its not because of their race. Its because someone failed at raising them. It should never be about black vs. white or white vs. black. It should be about caring for one another because we are all human. Call out racial injustice, but make sure its also done fairly. Rant over.
