I understand that there is a condition called orthorexia nervosa, which, (to my amaeteur understanding) seems to constitute an induced fear of food, usually due to things read online or heard from questionable sources. Could/should fear of chemtrails be considered a similar condition? For those unfamiliar, chemtrail theory posits a massive conspiracy by airlines and governments to spray-sterilize a large portion of the population. Believers in the theory think that persistent contrails are actually trails of poison chemicals, and oftentimes, this fear extends even to unusual cloud formations. Chemtrail believers are *literally* afraid of the sky. These unfortunate folk also tend to engage in the same sort of bias-reinforcing behavior as orthorexics and various other conspiracy theorists, including treating hugely questionable sources as factual and setting up echo chambers, while claiming that those who dont believe are sheeple, or asleep. Obviously, the topic is subjective, so Im just looking for conjecture and discussion on it.
