I understand the desire to remove things that people find offensive, like statues of former leaders who spoke in racist terms or historical markers that include lines deemed racist. But the complete removal and disappearance of history based on what is deemed offensive is scary. Its history. Theres a very huge reason why its studied. Simply accept that it is history and understand the context of it instead of attempting to wipe it off the face of the earth. The fact that this line of thinking could affect the way future generations learn history is frightening to me.
