I understand the purpose we are led to believe the police officers are supposed to serve though when I see black cops I think of them as Slave Drivers...I am reminded of the scenes where a black slave is ordered to beat and punish a fellow black slave because master says so or he will be punished as well. Then I see the police cracking open a young mans skull for fare evasion. $2.50 to ride the train but this officer is just following orders, right?
