I understand there are those (this probably includes most of you) that like a nice looking well manicured lawn. I dont. I often tell friends and co-workers Im all for letting the yard return to its natural state of wild abandon. Of course the manager of the trailer park I live in prefers we (at least) occasionally mow the grass( actually a combination of wild onions, dandelions and assorted grasses) and make an attempt to be normal... I shrug and push the lawn mower about once every five or six weeks, less in months without an R like months when you cant eat oysters, you really ought not to be out there getting sweaty, tempting fate with a possible heat or sun stroke, feeding the skeeters and ticks, possibly stepping on a perfectly comfortable snake. So its with great joy when I detect an fairy ring right there in my own front yard. Not as perfectly formed as some I see from time to time, but nonetheless, a bonafide (partial that is) fairy ring! I feel like maybe I ought to sit out late tonight and see if the little creatures (fairys that is) actually come out and dance within the ring. Wouldnt that be a hoot. Another reason not to cut the grass this weekend.
