I understand they say they want to protect the elephants and no one wants to do this more than me. I have been on their side saying they were sentient all along. This law however is not aimed at protecting them, it is aimed at hurt people who own old ivory and people who deal in art and museum pieces. The real problem is Asia, well China who is the largest buyer of ivory right now, and always has been. This this law is wrong, it does nothing to save the elephants. If you want to save the elephants you must declare them non-human persons and make their deaths murder, see how fast the death count drops. Fining rich people does nothing to solve any problem, the rich will just pay more, but make the people killing the elephants pay with their life, now that is a good plan. Obama, make the killers a deal they can not refuse, kill an elephant, you die, no jury, no kindness, just a rope and a dope. Shekhinah
