I urge those in responsibilities to come forward to immediately intervene to prevent danger that befell on Tamil Nadu. #DMK #Kalaignar #JayaVerdict Following the conviction of ADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha in the disproportionate assets case, even without properly obtaining the permission of the Police they are competing with each other organising hunger strikes, demonstrations, human chain etc at every place in Tamil Nadu daily greatly affecting the normal life of people. In that series, following instigation and threat of ruling party functionaries such agitations are being conducted by various organisations. Owners of private and omni buses, film sector, proprietors of granite quarries and traders also indulged in such stirs and resort to day long strike or fast. In today’s dailies in the next stage the secretary of the Federation of Associations of Private Schools in Tamil Nadu has announced that private schools will not function tomorrow in solidarity with Jayalalitha. Like this the Ministers of each department competitively are instigating and threatening to resort to strikes on behalf of their departments. In this context, the announcement that private schools will not function tomorrow affecting the studies of students is an evidence for the increase of these rulers’ political interference in education also. I strongly condemn the ruling party functionaries resorting so such stirs for exerting pressure on the court by manipulating sympathy through short cuts instead of using straight forward ways provided by law for one who had been convicted by a court and as parents students and teachers do not like the announcement that private schools will not function tomorrow affecting the studies of students. I also urge those in administrative responsibilities of the government not to support even a bit such actions and engage in effort to prevent them and prove that the administration in Tamil Nadu is not paralysed as all the neutral minded people think. To the best of my knowledge, it is very clear that those in the government now are also working in support of these atrocities and violence. If a responsible government do not come forward to get rid of such failures of governing and establish peaceful rule desired by people, law and order will go astray leading to all lumpen elements dictating terms and the question whether we are living in a country or jungle inhabited by wild animals. Even before such a situation developing in Tamil Nadu, I urge those in responsibilities to come forward to immediately intervene to prevent danger that befell on Tamil Nadu.
