I use Facebook as a tool to share truth intended to help develop - TopicsExpress

I use Facebook as a tool to share truth intended to help develop disciples for Christ. I assume that those who appreciate my teaching will read what I post and those who do not likely choose to ignore it. I assume I mainly show up on the news feeds of those who are a part of our church. I sometimes share photos and funny stories but most often my aim is to influence those who wish to hear what I have to say. I also have been known to use it to inform others regarding important events coming up. I have plenty of friends who attend our church who are on Facebook and sometimes it can serve to get the word out. I trust that those who do not wish to hear the teachings or announcements I share will choose to not like my post and make it disappear from their news feed. They may even unfollow me, I do not know. But that is the beauty of Facebook, you can decide who and what you wish to see pop up in your news feed. No one is held hostage. It took me a while to discover this amazing ability on Facebook regarding things you prefer to see or not to see or to read. But since I have found it I have used it on several occasions. I take great pleasure in knowing it is available to me. Since I am not hurting for friends or needing to be popular, social media is not an acceptance fix for me. It is a platform that can be used for sharing ideas and truths, encouraging and challenging. I see it as a tool for growth in spiritual things as thoughts are stirred and hearts are impacted. You may use it for a completely different purpose, that is your privilege to do so. But now you know what my aim is, it is not hidden and I am not acting like a covert Christian trying slip in something here or there.
