I use my Sundays for prayers and reflection. In Memory of Pete. Pete was like a Father to me. A Green Beret Combat Diver Sergeant from Nam and later a Colonel in Air Force Black Ops as a Pilot. He ran the Drug War in Colombia in 96 and was a very brave man. He didnt care for staying in the capitol, but preferred the jungle base camp with us. He would have us drop him in the middle of bad guy country and leave him, just to draw out the narcos into a fight... The other fellow here is another of the bravest of the brave, J.R. was a TF-160 Pilot, retired CW5, as good as they get. He flies still and he visited with me at my home recently. We were shot at many times, he put me into firefights to rescue others wounded and under fire, and he saw me keep a brother alive in the back of the bird, while bankin and spankin in a drug lab bust, turned ambush, turned hot extraction in the vein of the film, proof of life. All the while, he stayed steady on the stick and flew heroically. I am honored to call him friend and brother. And for these reasons, at this time when Pete left us over a decade ago, I am thankful for my time with him. You are loved and sorely missed. Prayers out until we meet again. Apologies for waxing loquacious, Yall. Have a super Sunday.
