I use the 150s for dumbbell rows and shrugs. By the end of this year, Ill be using them on the incline and possibly the flat bench.... I am almost as strong with dumbbells as I am with a barbell. Last month, I joined LA Fitness to train with Andy Yatooma a couple of days per week. I dont think Ill keep the membership for long... Their dumbbells only go up to 100.....but they have two of everything in 2 1/2 pound increments???? Really? I need heavy dumbbells in my routine! I alternate between barbell and dumbbell for most pressing exercises on chest and shoulder day. I feel as if they better develop my balance, stability and range of motion...with less trauma to the shoulder. For similar reasons, I also like mixing in iso-lateral Hammer Strength exercises as a variation..... They make you work each side independently...like dumbbells, while offering a more ergonomic range of motion than a barbell. Do you dumbbell?
