"I used to go and meet companion of the prophet (peace be upon him) to learn about hadith. Whenever I come to know about a particular companion who got a hadith from prophet (peace be upon him), I rush to him and know about it. I would not care if there is a sand storm at that time. I will wrap a cloth around my head and would go to see the companion" The above narator is none other that Ibnu Abbas (R.A).to whom prophet (peace be upon him) made a special dua,while rubbing his chest to grant him enlightenment of the religion. Such were their humility. Our Religious ancestors who knew the worth of religious knowledge never waited until it came to them. In stead they sacrificed themselves for it and traveled unimaginable legths in a time the fastest mode of travel had been striding a horse and even that was considred rare luxary.
