I used to go at night TO PREACH. I had permission from a pastor. Edifying the church is prophesying--that is the definition given of PROPHESYING in the BIBLE. Philip had four daughters who preached--virgins: prophesied. Where... Inside the church-building or outside the church-building? PAUL gave instructions-to-women--COVER YOUR HEADS PROPHESYING/PRAYING: I have been advised at times to use color. So I was to prophesy outside-of-regular-worship hours as led by THE LORD. My husband stopped ME. He sat me down. The LORD had me obey him. He was not read-y. That stopped our church-participation. Yep. He was very interested in going with me to study/worship/meeting/prayer...until. Then all that stopped. This happens--FOLLOW THE LORD. I would not have obeyed if it had been against THE LORD. As it is when one has a mandate from the LORD and the husband stops it THEN THAT IS ON THE HEAD OF THE HUSBAND from the LORD UNLESS THE LORD INSISTS YOU forge ahead--we must obey God rather than men/women. So he sat ME down. A team must be a team--and if GOD intends a team THEN HE WILL NOT HAVE you disappear from that team BUT NOT TO LEAVE BEHIND. He will bring both up to par--and that does not imply that I DID NOT HAVE TO BE BROUGHT UP TO PAR. A team takes two. Boy, did we have a lot to learn. He could not go with ME where he did not understand--and that is...right-as-long-as-he-is-intending-to-follow-God. A parent who does not understand certain letters is not going to forward them to a child. That is understandable. That does not make the letters wrong--the parents may be. Pastors too will prevent messages when things go too far. Perhaps they are operating in only one way. They are supposed to go on. Pastorhood is not about adoring the pastor--and his enjoying being adored: but about moving on with GOD. We are ALL called to press FORWARD--and not be pushed but to be insistent. Not out of timing. My timing is Gods timing: sitting down voluntarily is to wait FOR GODs timing. He will at times double up--when the time is right.
