I used to have a Citation I-ISP business jet and a Cessna 172 that I kept on leaseback (that means other pilots could rent and fly them). Dan Rooney, chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers, used to rent my jet a lot. The Skyhawk was a trainer and got a lot of use from the local flight school. I also had an American Champion Super Decathlon stunt plane that I did not have on leaseback... renters can do terrible things to stunt planes. So tonight Debbie Wichman Mauldin are I are watching The Color of Money (1986) with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise, as they make their way to the 9 Ball Classic in Atlantic City, NJ. It reminded us of the time back in 1999 when we flew the SuperD from Pittsburgh to Atlantic City for a weekend trip. We landed and parked and low and behold, there on the tarmac were my Citation and Skyhawk. It really is a small world.
