I used to love going to the Dar Airport to watch Dakotas take off and land. Those of you who have seen one do so will remember that the back wheels lifted off first. Getting into a stationary Dakota was a hassle too, as the aisle was at about a 40 degree angle to the ground and one really had to walk/climb up that aisle. I have some Dar Dakota home movies somewhere but this is not one of them. The following link is of a relation leaving Dar. In those days, car loads of people went to the airport to see a friend/relation off. Notice that the EAA staff is carrying the passengers baby to the plane? The baby would be returned to the mother after she was seated. Staff also carried your cabin luggage to the aircraft.
