I used to really love my fagor pressure cooker, but tonight it exploded! It was sooo gnarly!!! It built up so much pressure that it launched itself off the stove about six feet across the kitchen floor, spewing lentil soup all over my kitchen, living room, and family. Thank god we werent in the kitchen at the time. The beans mustve cooled themselves while blasting through the air, so thankfully aside from a couple tiny spots on sky and I we were not burned or harmed. In hindsight I realize that it was strange how it was not making noise and visibly releasing steam before it blew. I guess that would be something to look for next time anyone uses their pressure cooker.
