I used to see demons. They would speak to me, come to me in the night, roll me in my bed and generally just frighten the mess out of me. I was raised in a Mormon household and I thought I knew who Jesus was. I knew that if I prayed in the name of Jesus, these things would go from me. And they always left. There is power in that name. Even the unsaved can use it sparingly. This is the story of how these visits stopped, and are never coming back. Mormons dont believe in tongues like most Christians do. To us, it is a private, unintelligible prayer language. To them it is only the ability to learn to speak a foreign language quickly and it is a supernatural gift though. They dont believe in the unintelligible part. My ex mother in law tried to convince this Mormon boy otherwise! Of course, I was hell bent on proving her wrong. She left me a book by Kenneth Haggin, which I never read. Just looking at this thing made my blood boil and my head always think about how wrong it was. I even went out of my way to watch a documentary about how it is made up. I was sleeping one night in my bedroom in Orlando next to my ex wife. It was one of those rooms where the street light shines directly through the window and illuminates the whole place. I woke up to pitch black dark, which was immediately odd to me. There was a heaviness of fear over the room. I looked toward the back corner, where my bathroom was because I knew that our neighbors light shines through that window and contributes to the normally well out room. There, I saw the demon that had been following me around for years. He was massive, larger than the door to the bathroom and if he could be darker than pitch black, he was. It was if all the light was falling into him and he was exuding this strong spirit of fear in return. I knew what I had to do. I opened my mouth and I tried to pray and pray him gone in the name of Jesus. Nothing came out. I could not speak. And he moved toward me, knowing that he was victorious. Now he had visited me before in the night for years. He whispered to me, moved me around, scared me and I could always get rid of him. There was something different about that night. I knew that if he grabbed me, something bad was going to happen. Naturally, I freaked out. Before he touched me though, right as he was next to me, in my mind I screamed the most powerful and amazing thing that I have ever done. I SCREAMED in my head JESUS, SAVE ME!! Immediately, I started praying vocally. My mouth was unfrozen and I started calling for the peace of God, I was rebuking the devil in the name of Jesus, I was praying for my family, for my future, anything I could think of was pouring out of me. The lights clicked on outside. A warm, soft pillow fell on the entire room. He was gone. I started listening and actually paying attention to what I was praying. I was not praying in English, I was praying in tongues but I knew everything I was saying! My mind was completely blown. If you havent figured it out, that was the moment I got saved. And I got baptized in the Holy Spirit too. I didnt realize it at the time. I started looking for churches. I didnt tell any of my family, my in-laws, or my wife. It has been one of my biggest regrets to this date because that story could have blessed so many people. And that demon is GONE! Ive never seen him again, it has been almost three years. On top of that, God has used me in the area of deliverance in many ways. Before that moment, I was going to hell and that demon was there to enforce it. Maybe you are in a similar situation. I ask you this, if you were to die today, do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you would go to heaven? I have great news for you! The Bible says that all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death BUT the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Bible also reads that whosoever calls upon the name of The Lord shall be saved. My friends, my family, random strangers who read this, whosoever means you! Say this prayer with your heart and lips out Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank you that you died for me. I believe you are risen from the dead and that you are coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God, and a holy boldness to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Im saved. Im born again. Im forgiven. Im on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart. If you said that prayer then I want to tell you that all of your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from Him in everything that you do because He loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.
