I used to think being gay was a choice. I argued until I was blue - TopicsExpress

I used to think being gay was a choice. I argued until I was blue in the face, about something I knew very little about. THEN, I watched someone in my family grow up, knowing at the early age of two years old, that he was gay. When he came out we were all like Duh. Did I love him any less? Hell no. If nothing else, more. Ive been watching the video for Take Me To Church and it brings tears to my eyes. This shit if actually happening. People are being burned and beaten for being gay. One of my favorite lines in the song is Thats a fine looking high horse, what you got in your stable? To me, that means, dont judge me because YOU THINK what others do is a sin just because its differently than how you sin. It makes me sick to read, watch, and know that humanity is still capable of such hatred. Looked at Russias gay violence lately? Its disgusting. Pay attention to how we treat, judge, label, look down on from our high horses, and discriminate against other HUMAN BEINGS. I believe, we are all born with the same spirituality. How we choose to use it is up to us. Your religious beliefs may tell you something different BUT THIS POST IS NOT THE PLACE TO DEBATE THAT.
