I usually do not air my dirty laundry on FB. However today, I will be a cry baby and vent. Jerry’s boys have been living with me for the past 6 months (Raymond and Brandon), and 9 months (Jared). Every day while they were in school, we would take them. Jared is in cross country and Jerry would take him to practice by 5:30am. We moved from North-North Phoenix, to west Phoenix. We decided we would keep Jared and Raymond at the same school (Jared because of his cross country and Raymond a Senior). Brandon is so wise/mature/positive for a 9 year old. He wanted to live with us, he under stood that living with us for the new school year met changing schools. His outlook “I want to live with you, and I can just make new friends”. Their mother who I have tried so hard to respect and give the benefit of the doubt has made everyday a struggle, with her constant threats and demands. She has been served 3 evictions notices this year because of unpaid rent, electricity being constantly shut-off, and no food in the fridge. Not from hard times, because of negligence. All this while the boys are with us full-time. She does not talk, she yells and threatens. So last night, we thought she had finally seen the light, she text us, saying to come over to pick-up Brandon’s immunization records and birth certificate so we can register Brandon at the school right down the street. We rush out the door before she changed her mind. We get to her place and the boys went upstairs to say hi to their mom and get the items needed. Jerry and I are waiting outside in the parking lot, then Phoenix PD (5 cars) pull up. She called the cops and told them we were keeping the kids from her though she has full custody and telling the Phoenix PD, we were threatening her and she was going to put a restraining order against us (including me! Why? IDK!) Phoenix PD did hear Jerry out and have empathy for his situation and told us to be careful with dealing with people “like her” . So now Jerry and I feel like we lost and there is nothing we can do. We can’t see the boys or have any contact. I love them just like my own and this is killing me and I want them HOME. Just a couple of weeks ago they were with their mom and she told them “ I have a boyfriend, so please do not stop by unannounced because he might be here and if you want to see me-text me, but give me a few days notice”. (I am not kidding…Raymond had told me when I went to pick them back up) So anyways, anyone know of a good family attorney?
