I usually dont like to make posts that are negative or bashing in any way, but I feel its super important to share what is going on from my personal point of view. My husband Steven Langert is up for reelection for the Township Committee of Lakewood. Back during the primary election, the Vaad of Lakewood (a group of random men hired by the yeshiva to control the klal) told Steven that of course they would support his reelection and did so in the primaries. Now, just weeks before the general election, they decided to screw him without the common courtesty of even a single phone call or meeting to let him know that they were abandoning him. So without any blatant bashing or name calling (I will leave the chillul Hashem of their self serving actions for them to make) I will simply share with you my honest perspective as the wife of Steven Langert. For the last six years Steven dedicated his life to the people of Lakewood. He gave up countless hours, day and far into the nights fighting to do whats right for the tax payers of Lakewood. He gave up hours and hours of personal family time and business time with a 100% commitment to his duty as a committee man only to be used over and over as a scapegoat for everything negative. For the past 6 years he has been publicly blamed and bashed on blogs and in newspapers causing a tremendous amount of hurt and stress while never giving up on his tireless commitment. He even went to Israel to get das torah from Rav Kanievsky when faced with a dilema of doing something corrupt that would benefit the yeshiva and hurt the tax payers, and was told to do what is right by the tax payers. If you live in Lakewood, all Im saying is this is the truth from someone who saw it all with her own eyes. Arent you sick of playing puppet to those whos interests lie in self serving endeavors? This Tuesday when you vote, use your own brains!
