I usually dont write a post on Saturdays since I do my morning radio show at 8 on KFMB AM 760 but it was a great show with a lot of good questions from callers and just not enough time to get everything in. But one thing that I wanted to talk about that I didnt have time for was Tesla and their new target price of $320 from Morgan Stanley. Just two days after this new target price was announced and the stock hit $252 per share Morgan Stanley helped Tesla sell $2 billion of convertible debt. Now sure how much they got paid for this, but it does make one wonder about the motivation to increase the target price. This is why investors need to be careful when investing and following the hype, the bottom can fall out very quickly because there was no fundamental reason to raise the target price. This is why I stress over and over again to look at and understand all the fundamentals of a company before investing, and if you cant or dont have the knowledge, hire someone that does. I personally love reading all the reports and details on companies and long term it really does pay off.
