I usually never care about this man, because i think hes far far too crazy, but this actually makes me very very disappointed in people. I dont care what you say about the pledge of allegiance, or patriotism, or anything about how its a classic american way or what, main reason why we started using the pledge was because we wanted to sell more flags to schools, And no we were not founded with the pledge of allegiance because it was written in 1892, almost 100 years after we had first claimed freedom, but thats for a different discussion later. Im mostly shocked and appalled that someone, especially someone with such a great following for being a knowledgeable person when it comes to other beliefs, would call out one school for using the (I swear, this part is true) Arabic word for God. Yes, it gets a connotation for being used in Islam as the term for their god. Know why its used like this? Because Allah doesnt have a name, His name literally translates to just the word God. Want to change that? Go talk to all the thousands of people in the Nation of Islam and see what the outcome is. The only thing that enrages me more than the wrong facts this man seems to use was the comparison of a bible story to the actual Islamic religion. The story of the time David watched over his sheep to see a Lion and a Bear come to try and kill one of his sheep. David fought off the Lion and the Bear and eventually followed them and killed them. Why in the ever loving world would you compare a religion to an animal that is killed by a man? Are you saying you are David and the white sheep are the people who follow you, while the Bear or the Lion are Islam and other religions? Are you saying that it is your goal to hunt down and kill all that oppose you? Find those who want to spread their word and silence them? I think its a vulgar and a vile means of trying to show what One little change in a song that half the kids dont even stand for anymore. You want a voice of reason to be herd in america? How about tolerance instead of passive aggressive bigotry because someone doesnt see the same scene as you do. There is no need to Fight back, there is no need to feel attacked, there is only shame and ignorance where there should be love and acceptance.
