I usually only go to the movies about once, maybe twice a year.....and my son wanted to see The Hunger Games - #MockingjayPart1. (Today actually was the first time he invited a girl out on a date to a movie with me chaperoning but his friend was sick with the flu today so just the two of us went.) Ive read all 3 of the books by Suzanne Collins which are excellent btw and thought the movie was really good. Very emotional and without giving too much away...I must say that this scene with the song called The Hanging Tree which was written by the Lumineers and sung by Jennifer Lawrence was very powerful (and when you see the scene, I actually thought she did a good job of singing and it fit the part). I thought Jennifer Lawrence was excellent in her role once again as Katniss and Francis Lawrence did a good job of directing once again. Cant wait to see Part 2.
