I usually spend some lonely time at the seawalls on Sabbaths - TopicsExpress

I usually spend some lonely time at the seawalls on Sabbaths reading or just contemplating. Last Sabbath I was convinced of this simple illustration that the Bible is the map for mankind (which speaks of Jesus ofcoz), our destination is heaven, and the compass is the Moral Law which needle as always pointed to North which is Jesus. The Moral Law or 10 Commandments are based on principles (Holiness, Spirituality, Honour, Reverence, Respect, Stewardship, Purity, Trustworthiness, Honesty and Contentment) and as a map without a compass is useless, so is a compass without a needle. In other words, we still need the moral law to adjust ourselves to the Bible teachings which altogether points to Jesus. We cannot fully understand the map without the compass. The compass on the other hand is meaningless without the map. Like sailors, we need to constantly use these 2 important navigational instruments to adjust and remain on course . I hope this can share some light to how we see the Commandments or Moral Law in light with how the Bible remains in harmony with itself.
