I`ve posted here a few times but never introduced myself so I thought I should. Im Jim Oatley I live In Alice Springs and work at the Desert Park. I love the desert and spend a fair bit of time out and about mostly bird watching and taking some photos. I guess a lot of members have seen the recent rainfall reports and I have to say Alice is very green and the birdlife is booming . Ive been out this week but most of the dirt roads have been closed for the last week, most are reopening this weekend. I managed to pick up every species this week that is just a nightmare to get a good shot of unless you have hours to spend or get real lucky. These guys seem to be always just out of range, hiding in big bush or just too quick. Still, its nice to see them around and I will keep trying.
