I visited Adeyinka Grandsons Wall earlier today. This is an excerpt from a comment I made there: The ONLY presidential material I see in APC right now is Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He is crazy about education. He is industrialising Kano State. Mass Housing is being done. He is detribalised. He is not a religious extremist. He is the first core Northern governor to ban Almajiri and also went ahead to enforce the ban. This is during an era that President Goodluck Jonathan is encouraging Almajiri system with his Almajiri schools. Kwankwaso is sending hundreds of female students abroad for higher education. The list is almost endless. He was a fantastic asset to the PDP. But the ruling party hardly recognises its assets. If APC should field Kwankwaso, the PDP may lose almost all its structures in Northern Nigeria. Kano State remains the heart of the North-West, which has the highest number of registered voters in Nigeria. If not for reasons of core APC people complaining, Ill prefer a Rotimi Amaechi to be Kwankwasos running mate. And, let Buhari, Atiku and Tinubu run around for solid votes. Just my own thoughts sha o!
