This bill will specifically indicate that release of a fertilizer or soil conditioner is not considered either a hazardous substance or a release for purposes of liability for remedial action if the application is made according to generally accepted agricultural and management practices at the time of the application. This bill effectively fixes a technical problem with Public Act 446 of 2012. This bill passed with a vote of 94-14.
