I voted against the farm bill because of their steep cuts in SNAP (food stamps) and the deep subsidies to those who dont need them. It is frustrating to see in one week the SNAP program cut AND unemployment insurance fail to be extended while at the same time we pass programs that drive billions of dollars towards people who do not need the government help: washingtonpost/opinions/in-congresss-farm-bill-the-rich-get-richer/2014/02/04/331443a8-8dd7-11e3-833c-33098f9e5267_story.html
