I voted yes on H R 2775, No Subsidies Without Verification Act. The bill prohibits the issuance of federal subsidies for Obamacare health insurance exchanges until the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) certifies that it has in place a program to verify individual eligibility. Under HHS regulations released earlier this year, taxpayers will subsidize state-run exchanges without any verification of certain eligibility requirements for subsidy recipients until at least 2015. I support repealing Obamacare, and I will protect Americans from its tremendous costs where possible. It passed 235-191.
