I waited to post my tribute to Ben, allowing my family some time - TopicsExpress

I waited to post my tribute to Ben, allowing my family some time to grieve and let my best friend and sister have some time to compose herself and find the strength and words to honour him. Ben was one of the most handsome man cats Ive ever seen, I will never forget our first meeting - In strode a confident, large feline with incredible muscularity, presence and beauty, I fondly exclaimed he was like a female lion. Ive been a part of Bens life for a significant chunk of it and recalling the years we have had a lot of good fun times and cuddles. I met Ben when I was the tender age of 16; thats 12 yrs ago :o I have many photos and charming memories but will never be able to articulate them as poignantly as Emma has done in her tribute to her furry best friend. Besides playing the Be The King game with Emma and Ben and racing him upstairs at every opportunity, which he loved, my fondest memory of Ben is when we took all of the cats on holiday to a beautiful cottage near St Andrews and one day I purchased a football to play with. Upon kicking the ball up the hall casually one afternoon, Ben decided he would take chase and pounce on it and push and play with it. Thinking it a fluke I did it again and he went after it again and again and again...I have NEVER known a cat to play football, but Ben Gordon did and I will never ever forget it. He was outstanding with his tricks and personality and for a cat (or any animal) displayed a whole range of vocals and complex emotions along with them you could really tell how he was feeling and what he was thinking a lot of the time. He will be sorely missed by all the family and many friends and fans across the globe. We love you handsome boy, may your journey over the rainbow bridge be swift and give max a great big purr and pounce on when you are reunited
